IPL was first introduced in 2008 by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India contested by eight teams from eight cities. Only in 2011, there were 10 teams. The first IPL trophy was won by Rajasthan Royals in 2008.
Usually the match is conducted every year in the month of March to May. Mumbai Indians in the only team to get the IPL trophy for five times, followed by the Chennai Super Kings who has got the trophy for three times.
